The plan for the unique Tokaj (northern Hungary) project has been known for years, but the war intervened. Now the government has given the green light to proceed: a 2,300-meter-long cable car could be built and the Kopasz Hill (Bald Hill) TV tower could be renewed, reports Világgazdaság.

The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, recently announced his intention to develop more than 250 projects with a ropeway length of over 1,200 km within five years.

New bike area opened at Snow-Space Salzburg

The new Kids Bike Park was designed in cooperation with the bike manufacturer woom and is specially designed for children and young people aged 2 to 14.

Thomas Maierhofer is the new CEO of Gleterschbahnen Kaprun

On 31 July, Norbert Karlsböck terminated his mandate as sole board member of Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG at his own request after the expiry of his term of office in order to retire at the end of September. Thomas Maierhofer will take over the position as CEO on 1 August.

Feasibility study for cable car in Kelheim put out to tender

In the Bavarian town of Kelheim (located between Ingolstadt and Regensburg), a feasibility study for a connection to the rail network is put out to tender. An urban cable car is considered the preferred option by local decision-makers. The Free State of Bavaria is supporting the project with more than 100,000 euros.
